Mike Boatman and his wife Vickie Boatman are dedicated to giving their clients portraits of life that illustrates the emotion, the love and quintessence of a treasured moment.

Mike Boatman, owner and photographer of mikeboatman.com, was trained at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale as a fashion photographer and has worked exclusively in the commercial photography field for most of his thirty years.

About 7 years ago, by happenstance, Mike was persuaded (blackmailed) by one of his three daughters to photograph a wedding for a close family friend because the booked photographer called the night before to state that he would not be showing up due to a double booking.

To Mike’s complete surprise, he discovered that he enjoyed photographing the wedding and had a great time. Of course, Mike’s fashion background greatly influenced his views and how he approached the photography.

Vickie Boatman’s background includes over 20 yrs. exprerience as a Senior Marketing Director for a million sq foot mall, Regional Marketing Director for three malls and Supervising the fashion photography for both TV commercials, print ad productions, website and point of purchase banners. Vickie’s incredible eye for fine art, comes from a family of fine artist. Both her and her mother are accomplished oil painters.

This is how Vickie and Mike met. Mike was hired by Vickie’s advertising agency to produce their fall fashion brochure. And today they work side by side doing wedding photography.

Two cameras, two vantage points, and two styles…one from fine art the other from commercial fashion. Together they produce images that capture the treasured moments of love.
